Top rhyme skills mixed with catchy choruses over fat beats, that range from Jazz to Dub - makes for a great album that just happens to be Hip-Hop.NQ started playing guitar at age 6 when he was still into Punk and Rock. He found Hip-Hop in '89 when he bought the Fat Boys 'On and On' and Tone Loc's 'Loced After Dark' on cassette while black market shopping in Petaling st, Kuala Lumpur. 'Beat Street' and 'Wild Style' sealed it, and he has been graffing and rapping ever since. (Well maybe not the graff, its too much trouble when you're an adult.)He started DJing at the end of '97 doing chillout rooms and recoveries in the Rave scene. If you can call it DJing - one turntable, one CD drive, a couple of keyboards, a guitar and a mic plugged into a 4trk. This is where his interest in Engineering and Production came from. Having too many instruments and not enough tracks you have to invent some interesting signal flows.He came to Sydney for NYE in 2000 and never left. He set up his studio 'City of Nine Gates' on the eastside, finished a Diploma of Music Industry at SAE and has been going from strength to strength ever since. He is also the owner of 'Asharic Records', an independent record label based in Sydney Australia and specialises in the production of Urban music - Soul, Hip-Hop, R&B, Dub/Reggae, Whateveritscalledthisweek.www.asharicrecords.com
